Robin Before WPFG Studios

Before getting involved with From the Flames Productions and film production, Robin was pursuing a BA in Anthropology/Archaeology from the University of Texas at Austin. Even though Robin’s degree focus in Anthropology seems to be totally unrelated from her professionally career, she has found practical applications in the business world for Anthropological concepts and principals of human behavior and interaction to select the right people to work on the right projects, who have complementary skills, personalities, and goals.

How Robin Came to Film

Robin has always had a love for film, history and culture, which is what attracted her to her first film project, "Blade of the King" concept film (CF). View Robin's first film HERE:

Robin On Film Fest Tour with her first award winning film, “The Blade of the King:”

In the summer of 2006, during FTFP’s film festival tour with the “Blade of the King” (CF), Robin was one of the Featured speakers at the Action on film International Film Festival in Long Beach, CA for a panel discussion at the filmmaker mixer. After the mixer, Robin got some very valuable alone time to discuss the industry with the CFO of Paramount Pictures, had a private screening with him of the “Blade of the King” (CF), (BOTK) and the rough cut of the Leandro Fossi (INYL) Music video.

During the AOF Panel Discussion Robin can be quoted as saying:

“Independent filmmakers are almost always regarded as the under dogs, who are weaker, lesser, and therefore left begging for funding. I say underdogs can compete just as well as top dogs, if given a fair chance. […] I have also heard many filmmakers say, “If this film doesn’t make it, I’m choosing a new profession.” I think that’s the wrong attitude; you can be successful at anything you put your mind to if you work hard, and never give up!”

Robin is a Constant Multi-tasker with a strong eye for detail. She has the ability to manage small or large groups, and has experience running film sets with up to a 50-man crew, sets with over 70 people on them, and workshops with over 100 people attending.

Robin's drive for success and willingness to go the extra mile made her a valuable leader. Her exceptional outside the box thinking, rapid problem solving abilities, and great financial skills paired with her tactical and strategic planning abilities make her a valuable asset to any production or project.
