Laura was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. In high school she decided she wanted to pursue a degree in Film. She attended the College of Santa Fe in New Mexico for four years, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Film with a concentration in Production Design in 2005. After attending a concert in Austin shortly after graduating, she decided to try and make it there before heading out to Los Angeles. Shortly after moving here, she realized that she would try and stay here as long as she could and find work in film. She started out on From the Flames' "A Knight Time Story" and has been finding work here and there since then including working as a PA in the Art Department for a feature entitled "God Thinks You're a Loser."
