WPFG Studios Owner- Producer Robin Blesch

Robin Blesch is a Texas based producer, the owner of WPFG Studios, and the creator of The Wolfpack Film Group (A filmmaker and artist collective group based in Austin, TX).

Robin currently produces for her company, WPFG Studios, before that she worked as the head producer with From the Flames Productions for two years.  She then spent some time producing for AMFM studios and freelancing with other production companies while launching WPFG Studios.  She has worked on or produced a wide variety of projects ranging from shorts and music videos to ad and feature work.  Robin has also worked her way around the set gaining valuable experience in almost every aspect of the filmmaking process.

Robin is a Constant Multi-tasker with a strong eye for detail. She has the ability to manage small or large groups, and has experience running film sets with up to a 50-man crew. Her exceptional outside the box thinking, rapid problem solving abilities, and great financial skills paired with her tactical and strategic planning skills make her a valuable asset to any production or project.

Robin has always had a love for film, history, and culture, which attracted her to her first award winning film project, the "Blade of the King" concept film, a short period piece based on the classic literary poem, “Beowulf.”  After producing her first film she was hooked, and constantly strives to create different and interesting projects, each one better than the last.  Her ambition, drive, and motivation has inspired others around her to work together to create quality projects on any budget.

Before getting involved with From the Flames Productions and WPFG Studios, Robin was pursuing a BA in Anthropology/Ancient History and Culture with a focus in Middle Eastern Archaeology from the University of Texas at Austin where she managed to maintained a 4.0 GPA until very recently in spite of the demanding work load of her production career.  Even though Robin’s degree focus in Anthropology seems to be totally unrelated from her professionally career as a filmmaker, she has found practical applications in the business world for Anthropological concepts and principals pertaining to human behavior and interaction.

Besides producing, Robin has worked in many other capacities in the filmmaking process.

In the summer of 2006, during the film festival tour of the “Blade of the King” concept film, Robin was one of the Featured speakers at the Action on Film International Film Festival in Long Beach, CA for a panel discussion at the filmmaker mixer. After the mixer, Robin got some very valuable alone time to discuss the industry with the CFO of Paramount Pictures, had a private screening with him of the “Blade of the King” and the rough cut of the Leandro Fossi Music video.

During the AOF Panel Discussion Robin can be quoted as saying:
“Independent filmmakers are almost always regarded as the under dogs, who are weaker, lesser, and therefore left begging for funding. I say underdogs can compete just as well as top dogs, if given a fair chance. […] I have heard many filmmakers say, “If this film doesn’t make it, I’m choosing a new profession.” I think that’s the wrong attitude; you can be successful at anything you put your mind to if you work hard, and never give up!”
